April 8, 1930 - May 11, 2008 Former Resident of Fremont Bobbie passed away Sunday evening with her family at her side. She was 78. Bobbie lived in Fremont, CA from 1963 to 2005 when she moved to Antioch, CA to be closer to her daughter and grandsons. She was a charter member of the Piecemakers Quilt Guild in Newark from 1977 to 2006, also a charter member of the Mission Peak Quilters from 1978 to 2005 and a member of the Amador Quilt Guild from 2000 till her passing. After her move to Antioch, Bobbie joined the Senior Center Quilting Group. She loved all types of sewing and quilting and has the stash to prove it. She also generously shared her craft as an instructor. Bobbie made quilts for every occasion; graduations, weddings, babies and just about every holiday. Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Pam Whitehouse; grandsons, Andrew and Trevor Whitehouse; sister, Donna Kennedy; brothers, Harold, Ron, Gary, Ray and Richard Mogensen; Mother-in-law, Catherine Hamilton. Several nieces and nephews, and many loving and caring friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hamilton, her parents Pearl and William Mogensen, sister, Ruthie Yahr; brother Dale Mogensen: niece, Sandy Mogensen; brother-in-law, Paul Hamilton; father-in-law, Jerome Hamilton. A visitation service will be held in her honor on Friday, May 16 from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The memorial service will be May 17 at 10:30 am in the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, Ca Published in the Bay Area News Group publication from 5/16/2008 - 5/17/2008.
