Martinez Dec. 6 1934 June 29, 2008 Resident of Woodland Judy Marlene Martinez, 73, of Woodland, WA passed away on June 29, 2008 at a hospital in the Vancouver, WA area. She was born on Dec. 6, 1934 in Emmett, ID to Jack and Evelyn (Olsen) Blurton. Judy attended schools in Oakland, CA. She married Arthur Martinez on October 10, 1953. Judy worked for the school district in Newark, CA and then moved to Woodland in 1991. She was a member of St. Phillips Catholic Church in Woodland. Judy liked to cook and garden and was a wonderful mother. She is survived by her husband, Art; sons Larry of Vancouver, WA Ronald of Spokane, WA Andrew of Medford, OR and Gary of Vancouver; three daughters, Laura Eastgate of Vancouver, Karen Martinez of San Leandro, CA and Linda Martinez of Woodland; a brother Victor Blurton of Baltimore, MD; three sisters Barbara Bennet of OK, Joan Garber of CA and Jackie Pierce of White Horse, Yukon Territory. She also had six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Friday, July 4, 2008 at St Phillips Catholic Church in Woodland at 11:00 am. Internment is at Frank Abel Cemetary.
